What do you need to start:
- You need an e-mail address. Please note that the embassy will notify the applicant regarding the result via the provided e-mail address/mobil phone number
- Credit card to pay the fee. Please note that in case of reimbursement of the fee, this will be done to the same credit card that was used to pay the fee.
How to start:
- Go to https://selfservice.udi.no
- Click on register new user
- Fill in the necessary boxes; username-password-name-email
- In a short while an email will be sent to the address provided. Open the email, click on the site given to activate your account.
- Go to application portal, on the left hand side enter your user name and password and click on log on.
- Choose the application you want to fill out: visa, family immigration, education etc....
- You will be informed about the first day with 3 or more available appointments. If you get a message that there is no available appointments the next 90 days, this only means that there are few available appointments left. You should continue your registration, and if you cannot find a suitable day for appointment after finishing registration, you may contact the embassy.
- Fill in the application completely. (Please note that all the boxes with a star next to them are mandatory and have to be filled out).
- After completing the registration you will be directed to the payment. You can pay the fee with Visa card or Master card
- When the application is filled out and payment is made, you will receive a confirmation e-mail
- After completion of the registration, you will be asked to book an appointment. A calendar will be available. Choose the month and day you want to submit your application. On the right hand side of the screen you will see a chart with all the available times for your chosen date. Click on the circle to choose the time you want.
- Please note that you must print the cover letter that is available on the summary page and bring this cover letter to the Embassy with the rest of the documents. You also receive this document on e-mail. There is no need to bring a print out of the application form since the embassy receives this electronically
Pls. kindly note that the reference person in Norway can register the application online on behalf of the applicant. If the reference person is registering on behalf of the applicant, he or she must make sure that the applicant brings the cover letter (see the last ballpoint above.) to the embassy when submitting application.
The applicant must come to the embassy on the day and time of their appointment. If you need to cancel or change your appointment, you can log into the Application Portal, and make a new appointment. This has to be done at latest the day before your scheduled appointment.
What to bring to the embassy:
- Cover letter. You don’t need to bring a copy of your application form
- Confirmation of your booked appointment. You have received this confirmation by e-mail
- All supporting documents mentioned on our webpage
- Valid passport
After submitting your supporting documents at the embassy, you can at any point log into the application portal to check the status of your application.
