FAMILY REUNIFICATION - HANDELED BY THE UDI
If you apply for family reunification, you fill out the form “First time residence - and work permit”. The Embassy does not have authorization to handle these applications. This means that we will forward the application to the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) in Norway. The applicant will have to wait in Turkey until UDI has made a decision.
How can I apply for a family reunification?
The Embassy requires personal appearance when submitting the application. This means that the applicant will have to appear in person at the Embassy.
The Embassy does not accept applications sent by mail or post.
Applications can not be handed in at the norwegian consulates.
When can I apply for a family reunification?
You can submit your visa application at the Embassys visa section for the following opening hours:
Monday-Thursday: 09.00-12.00

How much must I pay in case processing fee?
The handling fee is 880 YTL.
The handling fee should be paid cash when submitting the application.
Which supporting documents must be handed in with family reunification application?
- A personally signed and fully completed application form
- Passport with a validity that exceeds that of the visa by three months
- Two photographs- on white background
- The applicants family book (Tam tekmilli ve vukuatli nüfus kayit örnegi) - the new marriage must be registered. The Embassy will not accept the application if this requirement is fulfilled.
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate
- Residence certificate from the reference i Norway (Bostedsattest)
- Passport
- Documentation of subsistence: The last three months pay cheques and the previous years annual income document that proves that the partner in Norway has an income equal to the State Income Level 1 and work contract
- If the partners are previously divorced, a divorce certificate
- If the previous partner has died, a death certificate
- Regarding application for family reunification with children from a former marriage, a document which certifies the other parent’s consent to settle with the child in Norway, must be enclosed in english. Please contact the visa reception regarding the correct formulation of such a consent.
All the documents should be submitted with an English or Norwegian translation.
Please note that the Embassy has the right to ask for any additional documents, any originals or any additional translations.

D-VISA
Due to the complexity of familyreunification cases from Turkey, the Embassy can no longer recommend applying for a D-visa. If you still, despite the Embassy's advise, want to hand in application for a D-visa, the document requirements are the same as described above for First time residence and work permit for familyreunification purposes.
