How can I apply for a residence permit to marry in Norway?

The Embassy requires personal appearance when application shall be submitted. This means that the applicant will have to appear in person at the Embassy in Ankara.

The Embassy does not accept applications sent by mail or post.

Applications can not be handed in at the norwegian consulates.

 

When can I apply for a residence permit to marry in Norway?

You can submit your visa application at the Embassys visa section for the following opening hours:

Monday-Thursday: 09.00-12.00

 

When can I call the visa reception?

You can call the vica reception during the following phonehours:

Monday – Thursday: 13.30 – 15.30

How much shall I pay in case processing fee?

The caseprosessing fee is 880 YTL.

The handling fee should be paid cash to the Embassy when submitting the application.

 

Which supporting documents must be handed in with the application?

  1. A personally signed and fully completed application form
  2. Passport with a validity that exceeds that of the visa by three months (and copies of the passport)
  3. Two photographs- on white background
  4. The applicants family book  (Tam tekmilli ve vukuatli nüfus kayit örnegi)
  5. Birth certificate
  6. No impediment to marry-documentation  (Evlenme ehliyet belgesi)
  7. If the previous partner has died, a death certificate
  8. If the parties has been previously married, the divorce papers
  9. Residence certificate from the reference i Norway (Bostedsattest)
  10. Approved passport photocopies from the reference in Norway
  11. Documentation of subsistence: The last three months pay cheques and the previous years annual income document that proves that the partner in Norway has an income equal to the State Income Level 1 and work contract

All the documents should be submitted with an English or Norwegian translation.

Please note that the Embassy has the right to ask for any additional documents, any originals or any additional translations.
